if yoiu see my test blog you will see that I finally did what i wanted to using kodak imaging which was already on my computer. I would have liked a choice of font but I coped. It was getting the words on top of the picture which was causing me a problem. I used Lou's comment to fit it in and I am trying to download Irfanview but am having problems because of the mirror over here.(blueyonder)
anyway a minor success

You could take it into paint and resize it if you wanted. I realized later that my comment and Lou's were looking at things in a slightly different way. Lou's method will replace the text with your pic while mine will put the picture behind.
If you have trouble with blueyonder try another mirror. Any european one should be fast enough.
The blue is very cool and artsy!
woo,I now have Irfanview, all I need to do now is work out how to use it - but that's for another day.
